Sakshi Malik is an Indian freestyle wrestler who gained recognition for her achievements in the sport. She was born on September 3, 1992, in Rohtak, Haryana, India. Sakshi started her wrestling journey at a young age and trained under coach Ishwar Dahiya.

Olympic Medal:

Sakshi Malik made history by becoming the first Indian female wrestler to win an Olympic medal. She won the bronze medal in the 58 kg category at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Her victory came after she defeated Aisuluu Tynybekova from Kyrgyzstan in a thrilling match.

Commonwealth Games and Asian Games:

Sakshi has also represented India at various international competitions. She won a silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, and a bronze medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. In the Asian Games, she won a bronze medal in the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang edition.
